This category of membership is open to students on the following programmes: MPhil, MRes, PhD, and DBAs in Management. Student membership can only be granted up to a maximum of 5 years after admission to candidacy

This category of membership is open to individuals who hold a doctorate degree in Management (e.g. PhD or DBA) from a recognised institution, or who are academics without a doctorate but holding a tenured Professorship in any area of management, or who are managers with at least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and have attained the position of Executive Director or higher in an active company.

Fellows of the Academy shall be elected from among its members who have made significant contributions to the development of management theory and practice, and who are not below the rank of tenured Professor or Chief Executive of an active company while holding a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Honorary Fellowship may be conferred on any distinguished management practitioner who, in the opinion of the Academy, has contributed significantly to the development of management theory and practice in Ghana and beyond.

This category of membership is open to any university offering management research degree programmes (at the departmental, faculty, school or college level, as determined by the Academy) and to recognised research institutes, management development institutes, and management consultancy organisations involved in the development of management theory and practice.
