This category of membership is open to students on the following programmes: MPhil, MRes, PhD, and DBAs in Management. Student membership can only be granted up to a maximum of 5 years after admission to candidacy

This category of membership is open to individuals who hold a doctorate degree in Management (e.g. PhD or DBA) from a recognised institution, or who are academics without a doctorate but holding a tenured Professorship in any area of management, or who are managers with at least a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and have attained the position of Executive Director or higher in an active company.

This category of membership is open to any university offering management research degree programmes (at the departmental, faculty, school or college level, as determined by the Academy) and to recognised research institutes, management development institutes, and management consultancy organisations involved in the development of management theory and practice.
